The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a detailed weather outlook for the week of May 27 to June 2, 2025, highlighting a mix of intense rainfall, high temperatures, cold nights, and strong winds across various parts of the country.

Rainfall is expected to continue across parts of the Central Highlands, Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, Western Kenya, and sections of the Coast.

Residents in these regions are advised to remain alert for potential flooding, particularly in flood-prone areas.

Daytime temperatures exceeding 30°C are expected across much of the Coast, as well as in the North-eastern and North-western regions.

Night-time temperatures could drop below 10°C in parts of the Central Highlands, Central Rift Valley, and areas surrounding Mt. Kilimanjaro. People in these regions are encouraged to dress warmly.

Strong winds exceeding 25 knots (12.86 m/s) from the south to southeast are expected over the Coast, including Kenya’s territorial waters, South-eastern lowlands, and Northern Kenya.
